To me one of the most mystifying things to be found in modern human society is the phenomenon of the angry ex-boyfriend.

Why are there so many dudes willing to make themselves into such a sad stereotype?

I can get plenty out of control and emotional but I can’t ever picture myself either straight up begging to get someone back who doesn’t want me, or, even worse, throwing aside all dignity, and angrily lashing out at someone who doesn’t want me anymore.

Yet all over the place girls I talk to have these stories about these dudes doing exactly that. Making themselves these pathetic spiteful monsters who can’t move on from someone who doesn’t want them anymore.

I get that it’s very human. But it’s not a part of humanity I understand. There’s no endgame. It’s just sad and pathetic.

I don’t relate at all.
